The Histadrut, the management of Tomer, the Ministry of Finance and the Workers' Committee signed the company's first collective agreement, which develops and manufactures rocket propulsion systems. The agreement constitutes a significant milestone in the activities of Tomer, a government security company that employs about 550 workers, which was established as part of the IMI privatization process.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-David, CEO Tomer Col. (Res.) Mordi Ben-Ami, Lod Regional Chairman Moshe Arbeli, VP of Control and Resources Planning Tomer Danny Cohen, Chairman Tomer Harel Moore's Workers' Committee, and Efi Malkin's Deputy Supervisor of Wages.
The agreement transfers the company's employees from the old IMI agreements to a modern collective agreement adapted to the 21st century, and enables the ability to absorb, recruit and retain employees while adapting the wage structure to a modern wage structure. It also regulates the working conditions of the company's employees and provides them with development-based and goal-oriented development paths.
The agreement will be valid for six years and includes, among other things, wage increases and additional benefits for employees. In addition, employees will be eligible for a one-time grant.
Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-David: "This important agreement is in line with the workers whose work contributes to maintaining the security of the State of Israel. I would like to thank all the parties who were educated to reach common understandings that will benefit both the well-being of the workers and the efficiency of the factory. The Histadrut will continue to act in every way to strengthen the workers and the resilience of the state. "
CEO Tomer Mordi Ben-Ami: "This is a groundbreaking agreement that regulates the terms of employment of employees in the modern world of employment, and allows management to preserve the knowledge centers in the company. The most important resource in the organization is human capital and the new agreement recognizes this. "
The chairman of the Lod region in the Histadrut, Moshe Arbeli, thanked the chairman of the Histadrut, Arnon Bar-David, for his support and accompaniment, noting: "This is a historic and significant agreement in the defense industries.
Chairman of Tomer's Negotiation Team, VP of Planning, Control and Resources Danny Cohen: "After complex negotiations, we reached an unprecedented achievement. "I work for the company. I want to thank the negotiating teams of Tomer, the Histadrut and the Ministry of Finance."
Chairman of the Tomer Workers' Committee Harel Moore: "This is a real message to all Tomer workers who receive an innovative agreement that will contribute to short-term and long-term wage improvements, including in the field of pensions and welfare. I would like to thank everyone who took part in the negotiations, which were conducted in a professional, thorough, respectful and fair manner. "
