The renewable energy company Solaredge, which is traded on the Nasdaq, will enter the S & P500 index. Solaredge is the second largest Israeli company in the world in terms of value with a value of $ 16.1 billion.
The S & P500 index includes the 500 most prominent operations traded on Wall Street and entering it is often translated as an effect on the stock. ETFs, mutual funds and other tracking instruments that track the S&P are buying the stock to track the index so demand for the company’s shares is expected soon. The entry into the index is expected to be on December 20.
In recent years, Solaredge has become one of the most prominent companies in the world in the field of renewable energy. In 2015, Solaredge was issued on Wall Street for $ 18, today the stock is priced at $ 307 - this success is signed by the company's management, and the entrepreneur who founded and managed the company - the late Guy Sela. Sela died about two years ago of cancer (Sela was chosen by BizPortal surfers to one of the people of the year 2019), but his work and achievements will continue to win.
The company's annual revenue rate exceeds $ 2 billion and its profit rate exceeds $ 300 million. The company has grown in revenue since its IPO on Wall Street at a rate of more than 50% per year. The company is managed by Zvi Lando.
