Encouraging information for consumers of the Israel Postal Company: Appointment through voice recognition

Posted on Dec 1, 2021 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Encouraging information for consumers of the Israel Postal Company: Appointment system through voice recognition. The new service complements the "queue in a click" service that was implemented in the company this year and reduced the waiting times in branches to an average of eight minutes, and it will make the service order accessible to populations that have difficulty navigating the digital space.
The voice recognition system is in addition to digital developments that have joined the company's service system, and additional technological services in the various postal divisions that the company is currently working on, and their launch will take place during the year 2022.

The new service will make it easier to access the "Turn on the Click" service at Hotline 171 for the benefit of populations that are not technological and have difficulty navigating the digital space, ie the Israel Post website and the company's dedicated application.
Selecting a customer at the push of a button to make an appointment through voice recognition, will improve the call center answering capabilities and customer service, while the response time will be fast and shorten the waiting times.
How can I use the service? In a call to the 171 call center, choose the "Schedule an appointment" extension - if the customer has an existing appointment, the customer will choose the appropriate extension according to the instructions and will be forwarded to the representative. Otherwise, it will be transferred to a voice recognition system, where it will be required to say the city in which it is interested in making an appointment.
At this stage, the customer will be called to the branches in the city and will even be given the option of moving to a service representative. For large cities with more than six branches, the six branches with the most referrals will be read. If the desired branch is not on the list, the customer will be referred to a representative for further treatment. When the customer selects the desired branch, he will be transferred to select the desired service, date and time of arrival at the branch.
After typing the time requested by the customer, free queues will be read close to the time he typed. After selecting the time of arrival, the customer will be called the details of the scheduled appointment and will send a reminder message.
