From Sunday midnight: returnees from abroad need to use their private vehicles and not public transportation

The Department of Transportation has announced steps to curb the spread of the new variant of corona virus, Omicron. The measures, which will take effect tonight at midnight (Sunday), encourage returnees from abroad to use their private vehicles and not public transportation.
Under the new regulations, it will only be possible to unload passengers from the trains and buses arriving at Ben Gurion Airport. Those landing in the field will not be able to board public transportation, and their departure will be possible only in the following ways: private car, collection by relatives, special taxis or service taxis with up to 50% occupancy. To one residential address.To encourage the use of a private vehicle, a 50% discount will be given at long-term parking lots at Ben Gurion Airport for a period to be determined.
For Ben Gurion Airport employees, transportation will be arranged as a replacement for public transportation. Flights and flights from Eilat to Ben Gurion International Airport will land at Terminal 3, and from there will continue via free shuttle to Savidor-Central station in Tel Aviv (subject to presentation of a flight ticket from Eilat).
