Wage agreements have been signed for employees of the health professions in government and municipal hospitals and in Clalit Health Fund. The agreements double the incentive for outputs for health professionals in government and municipal hospitals, and raise the incentive rates at Clalit Health Fund, in order to improve service to patients and increase queue availability.
The Ministry of Finance, the Histadrut, and Clalit Health Fund have signed wage agreements for health professionals in government and municipal hospitals (Ichilov, Bnei Zion) and Clalit Health Fund. The agreement was signed following the "package deal" signed earlier this month between the Minister of Finance, the chairman of the Histadrut and the employers' organizations.
The agreements significantly increase the maximum incentive in government hospitals for health care workers (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and food inspectors), from NIS 2,000 to NIS 4,125 per month. In addition, a kick-start model was created for the first time in the same amounts as the other sectors for communication clinicians as well.
The agreements also include eligibility for participation in another professional association starting in 2022. An agreement was also signed for the communication clinicians employed by Clalit Health Fund, the main purpose of which is to regulate the new incentive salary model and increase the permanent job of communication clinicians in Clalit. The agreement will enter into force on 1.1.2022.
An update agreement was also signed for the incentive pay model for employees belonging to Clalit's paramedical professions, and as part of it, the incentive pay rates for physiotherapy, diet and occupational therapy employees were updated at the fund. This agreement will enter into force on 1.12.2021. The agreements are expected to improve service to patients. In addition, it was agreed that Clalit would fund the amount of the membership fee in one additional professional association for the selection of employees to whom the agreement applies, in accordance with the procedures applicable in Clalit.
