The American communications giant AT&T is expanding its operations in Israel, and announces the opening of a new development center in the ToHa tower in Tel Aviv that will join the existing development center in Airport City. The company will recruit about 100 additional employees and will significantly expand its activities in the cloud field as well. Calcalist has learned that the new center will cover about 1,000 square meters.
The company established the development center in Israel in 2007 following the acquisition of the Israeli start-up Interwise, which specialized in conference solutions for organizations. The AT&T Development Center in Israel is responsible for the development of software products in all of the company's strategic areas of activity, including 5th generation networks, digital, communication solutions for consumers and organizations, advanced products for managing emergency and rescue systems worldwide, and now also the cloud. The center in Israel employs about 500 workers and operates in a hybrid format, with three working days from home a week.
The two centers in Israel are part of AT & T's global development network, which includes additional centers in the United States. Natalie Kramer, the company's global vice president, is the director of the entire lineup and responsible for approximately 1,500 AT & T development staff worldwide.
"The Development Center in Israel develops innovative services for hundreds of millions of users around the world, and leads strategic initiatives for the entire company," said Kramer.
