And helps drivers avoid causing an accident
The system is based on radar technology that detects the presence of objects on the sides of the vehicle, in all weather conditions and at all hours of the day. In addition, the system is equipped with BSD sensors for vehicle detection that emerge b
ehind / the sides of the vehicle from a distance of about 30 meters and informs the driver.
The right side of heavy vehicles is a "dead space" for the driver due to various reasons, this phenomenon is common especially in large and long vehicles when the vehicle is added to a trailer, while the driver changes lanes and especially when the driver turns when the emphasis is on the right turn, this phenomenon Pedestrians and cyclists and motorcyclists who drive (are) close to the side of the vehicle and the driver cannot detect their presence as they are in a dead area of the driver's field of vision.
In order to address this phenomenon, the European Union has decided to draft an ECE R151 standard for a system that will give the driver alerts about the presence of objects in the right area of the vehicle and thus reduce the number of casualties in such accidents.
A BSIS system that helps the driver identify objects in dead areas and especially vehicle hunters and draw the driver's attention to their presence.
