The medical device giant Medtronic acquires the Israeli company Triple Jump, which develops an insulin pump for diabetics, for about $ 300 million. In September 2020, the company raised $ 20 million in the first round, in which Medtronic and Dov Moran, among others, invested.
This is Medtronic's ninth acquisition in Israel. Moran revealed the purchase in a 30-minute or less podcast by Navot Volk and Aviv Frenkel.
Triple Jump, based in Yokneam, was established in 2015 by Guy Shinar and Ofer Yodfat. The company is developing an insulin pump attached to the patient's body, and linked to the mobile phone.
In September 2018, Medtronic acquired the Israeli company Mazor Robotics for $ 1.6 billion. In August 2017, it increased its total holding to 12% of the company.
