Posted on Oct 8, 2021 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The Ministry of Transport recently published the Service Quality Survey for the first half of 2021 among public transport companies.
According to the survey, Egged ranks first and is the public transportation operator that provides the best service in Israel among the seven largest operators, which hold more than one cluster.
Egged received an overall score of 92.9, an increase of 1.8 percent compared to the score the company received in the previous half (the second half of 2020). In second place is Afikim with a score of 91.1, Metropolis received the third highest score - 90.3, while Dan was left behind with a score of only 84.9.

The score given to each company consists of various parameters, including failure to travel, punctuality, signage at stations, courtesy of drivers, accessibility, cleanliness and more. The exams are conducted both mechanized and by inspectors from the Ministry of Transportation. Egged led the survey in a number of parameters, including 9 of the first 13 places according to the classification of urban clusters and including all the first five places in the metropolitan clusters.
The industry average decreased slightly compared to the previous half, while the score received by Egged is about 3 points higher than the average, so that it continues to show an increase in contrast to the surrounding trend.
Following the publication of the results, Egged CEO Avi Friedman said: "The results of the Ministry of Transportation's report reflect our uncompromising investment in improving the quality of service, and are a high point in the continuous improvement we show over the past three years. "We always remember that the foundation for an outstanding company begins and ends with the level of service we provide to our customers. It is a group effort of all the company's employees, from bus customs to the directors of the public transportation department and I want to thank everyone."
