Raw milk prices ries by 1.47 ag: The Milk Prices Implementation Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture announced on Tuesday that the target price of milk (the price of milk sold by dairy farms) has risen by 1.47 ag per liter (0.7%) to 212.99 agorot per liter, instead 211.52 cents per liter.
The rise in the price of raw milk may lead to higher prices for consumers of dairy products in general and dairy products that are regulated by the state in particular.
In September, there was an acute shortage of milk due to a shortage of working days in dairies due to the timing of the holidays. Most days off take place in the middle of the week. In addition, it was claimed that the dairies, especially Tnuva, which controls about 70% of the market, did not prepare well for this month and did not store milk or pasteurize it for a longer period of time.
The shortage of milk continues even these days, even though the holidays are over and the dairies claim that the shortages will end next week.
