Rafael has won a contract worth about $ 80 million, under which it will provide comprehensive naval combat systems. The systems are intended for fast attack boats of the Mk V type, manufactured by Israeli shipyards, to a country in South Asia. The contract will be executed over three years.
Raphael, led by Yoav Har Even, will supply the South Asian country with advanced naval combat systems, which include a combat management system (CMS), typhoon and mini-typhoon remote-controlled weapons systems, age-range missiles (multifunctional electro-optical missiles), system Internal communications of Sea-Com and BNET Tactical Data Link, as well as additional components and including full maintenance and support services.
Ran Tavor, vice president and head of Rafael's Naval Systems Administration, noted that the naval systems to be provided include innovative and groundbreaking technologies including advanced missile systems with electro-optical domestication, computer vision, artificial intelligence and decision-making algorithms that allow a wide range of deployment options to choose from.
