Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and senior officials of the Ministry of Health agreed today (Tuesday) on new restrictions that will be approved by the Corona Cabinet tomorrow. As part of the understandings between the parties, it was decided to apply a green label from the age of three in most sectors of the economy, instead of for all ages as planned from August 20, and to limit gatherings in private homes to 50 people indoors and a hundred in open spaces, which will mainly affect the holidays.
Later in the evening, Bennett will hold a discussion on increasing the capacity of the health system to treat patients with the virus. This, apparently, in order to try to find a solution that will allow the closure to be postponed, in the background of pressure to impose tight restrictions right now.
Among other things, the green label will be applied to swimming pools, gyms, academic institutions, all cultural and sports events, conferences and exhibitions, museums, libraries, restaurants and hotels. The state will fund tests for children ages three to 12 who cannot be vaccinated. A rapid test will be valid for 24 hours and PCR for 72 hours. Children under the age of three will not be required to present a green mark.
The Ministry of Health also demanded a decision on a purple mark, and were stopped. As part of its efforts to find a solution to contain the increase in morbidity, the HMOs announced today that they will be able to prepare for the home hospitalization of 1,000 corona patients in moderate-severe condition, in addition to the 1,000 that can be hospitalized in hospitals across the country. Thus, the capacity of the health system will increase to 2,000 severe patients if necessary.
