A deadlock in talks led by senior finance officials led by the ministry's director general Ram Blinkov with Histadrut representatives. Weeks of intensive talks between the Histadrut, employers' representatives, and the Ministry of Finance.
Histadrut chairman Arnon Bar-David issued a statement stating that finance officials have raised new and draconian demands that would harm workers. In the eyes of the Histadrut, the move promoted by the Treasury - ensuring a minimum return - harms the pension security of savers. The Histadrut says that the move was published without consultation and even without them being informed in advance.
Another issue is the outline for raising the minimum wage, the Histadrut insists on raising the minimum wage to a level of NIS 6,000 per month in a few beats, the first of which will be in January 2022.
