Starting at midnight: A ban on the entry of escorts and receptionists into the passenger terminal.at Ben Gurion airport

Posted on Jul 26, 2021 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Starting at midnight, the new regulations will come into force, which the Ministry of Health has decided to ban the entry of escorts and receptionists into the passenger terminal. The regulations come against the background of the entry of new variants of the corona virus into the country's borders and the increase in morbidity.
As part of the exceptions, there are three criteria in which escorts will be allowed to enter: a passenger presenting a flight ticket for the next 4 hours or performing actions for the purpose of his journey, entry for the purpose of his occupation (port workers, suppliers), accompanying a passenger under 16 or a person with disabilities or needs Special.
In recent days, Health Ministry Director General Nachman Ash has called on the public not to fly abroad. "This is not the time to fly abroad, and yet the numbers at Ben Gurion Airport are growing," he said, adding that "we are examining what can be done to limit flights." He added that there would be a further delay in the entry of vaccinated tourists to Israel's borders: "This will not happen on August 1. The outbreak all over the world and in our country does not allow tourism to open."
