Roy Kahlon will be the next director of the Companies Authority

Posted on Sep 16, 2024 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Roy Kahlon will be the next director of the Companies Authority. This is how the search committee headed by the director of the Yankee Quint Authority decided to recommend Kahlon to Minister Dodi Amsalem.

Kahlon is Amsalem's candidate and through him the minister hopes, together with a committee he established headed by Moshe Teri, to promote significant changes in the appointments of directors to the government companies.
Kahlon's appointment did not go easily since the Commission initially refused to approve the appointment due to a lack of senior management experience. Kahlon appealed to the court, and in the end the commission reached a compromise with Amsalem and did not oppose the appointment. Kahlon's last hurdle is a government decision, which will most likely be positive.
