The NBC Sports team selected the Israeli company Innovid to manage the publications during the Tokyo Olympics broadcasts. The team is expected to broadcast 7,000 hours of live broadcasts via NBC Olympic during the Olympics to tens of millions of viewers in the United States. The volume of commercials for the Olympics broadcasts on this network is estimated at $ 1.2 billion.
Innovid develops and manages the world's largest independent platform for submitting and measuring digital advertisements on smart TVs. It gives advertisers the benefits of receiving exposure data and the effectiveness of the campaign in real time, so that content and audiences can be modified and adapted in the shortest possible time. The platform's automated tools reduce the need for human management and monitoring of exposure, shorten and fine-tune the work. The system encourages the creativity of advertisers by enabling, for example, uploading advertisements with different extensions, interactively examining the reactions of the audience and continuing the campaign in the most effective way.
Innovid operates in the $ 200 billion television advertising market and is currently undergoing a significant change with the shift of television viewers from watching traditional broadcasting to viewing through smart TVs connected to the Internet. The company currently serves 40% of the 200 largest advertisers in the United States and among its customers are L'Oreal, Toyota, Bank of America, GSK and more. The number of commercials submitted by Innovid's platform for smart TVs has increased by more than 70% since the beginning of 2021 compared to the same period last year.
According to Tal Haluzin, VP of Technology and one of the founders of Innovid, the engagement in advertising the Olympic broadcasts in the United States is a leap forward for Innovid in terms of the scope of work and the exposure, the intensity of the live broadcasts. With the tools we offer advertisers will be able to give a quick creative solution to what is happening in the Olympics such as the arrival of American athletes to the final stages, winning medals and more. The engagement with NBC is an expression of trust in the tools we have developed and in the added value for advertisers.
Innovid was founded in 2008 by Zvika Netter, Tal Khaluzin and Tzachi Zigdon, and employs about 400 people, 90 of them in Israel and the rest in the United States, Argentina, Europe, Australia, Singapore and Japan. The company announced that by the end of the year it will become a public company on the United States Stock Exchange at an estimated value of $ 1.3 billion.
