Posted on Jul 18, 2021 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Cyber attack on the servers of Pionet, a website and information system developer, shut down many sites in Israel on Sunday night, including the websites of Rambam, Hadassah Ein Hakerem, Hadassah Mount Scopus and Assuta, and Sonol and Idigital.
The origin of the attack is not clear with certainty, and at Piont that the company is working with cyber experts on data recovery in order to get the servers back to work and to estimate the extent of the damage. They also stressed that the teams are working in full cooperation with the national cyber array.
"From an investigation we conducted, it appears that the site of the Pionet group collapsed, and a server error revealed sensitive information, which raises the suspicion of a cyber attack in the face of the collapse of the Pionet site," says Tom Malka, an analyst at Security Joes.
"If it is indeed a cyber attack, there is great concern for the emotional information of the patients of those hospitals, and we will continue the investigation and update on any new information that is discovered in the coming hours," Malka added.
Rambam Hospital responded: "This is the image and commercial site of Rambam Hospital and there was no damage to the hospital itself."
