ZoomInfo acquires the Israeli start-up company Chorus.ai for $ 575 million

The business intelligence company ZoomInfo acquires the Israeli start-up company Chorus.ai for $ 575 million (assets and liabilities). Chorus.ai has developed a system that analyzes sales calls using artificial intelligence. The financing of the transaction includes a tax benefit of approximately $ 100 million and at the same time the buyer will receive financing of approximately $ 500 million to complete the purchase.
The acquisition is expected to lead to significant growth, increase the company's operating profits and positive cash flow as early as the second half of 2022. In addition, the acquisition will lead to the expansion of Zoom Info's potential market to approximately $ 70 billion. Today, Zoom Info's platform uses more than 20,000 marketing and sales teams around the world.
The acquisition of Chorus.ai will add a new category of insights to the Zoom Info platform, and it will help the marketing and sales teams to the site and reach new customers. As part of the acquisition, 200 Chorus.ai employees will join Zoom Info; CEO Jim Benton will be appointed senior vice president at Zoom Info and director of new products.
