Quadcopters fly coffee capsules in the skies of Hadera: Nespresso Israel participated in an experiment and demonstration of the national skimmer project held in Hadera. The capsules were flown from a landfill in Hadera Park that simulates a logistics center, as part of a collaboration with SkylinX from Citizon Park Atidim Tel Aviv and the Safe Group for air transport in an urban space. According to estimates, in 2022, a variety of commercial and non-commercial delivery services will be launched in Israel - in Quadcopters.
The shipping companies Gett Delivery and Flying Cargo, Flytech, which operates the skimmers, and AirwayZ, which is responsible for the operating system that controls the skimmer fleet. The control and monitoring of all the quadcopters of all the companies that participated in the demo experiment was managed by Netivei Ayalon.
According to Nespresso, the company will move capsules from the mother of the colonies in Petah Tikva to Atidim, and will also open an air route for glider flights along the coastline, which is supposed to connect the Reading area in the north and the Jaffa port in the south. Nespresso will thus operate deliveries to consumer groups in the city, from the logistics warehouse via the air to the distribution points in the neighborhoods. In each neighborhood, the "father" will be located - a distribution center where the quadcopter will land, and where customers will come to collect the package they ordered.
During 2020 and 2021, Pizza Hut also participated in a number of experiments in shipping pizza on skimmers, but the service has not yet been launched, as its operation has been delayed due to the Corona crisis. It is currently expected that the company's service will be launched in the area of ​​Bnei Dror Junction to Netanya South, after the holidays, at the end of 2021.
