Fuel prices are rising - the Ministry of Energy updates that the price per liter of lead-free 95-octane gasoline will be NIS 6.31 per liter starting tomorrow (Wednesday) at NIS 6.31 - an increase of 18 cents from the previous month.
The supplement for full service will be 21 cents per liter - without change from the previous month. The last time fuel prices were at this level was in June 2019. This is the eighth consecutive month of an increase in gasoline prices, and since last November the price of a liter of gasoline has risen by one shekel.
The maximum price per liter of unleaded 95-octane gasoline for a consumer at a self-service station in Eilat (excluding VAT) will not exceed NIS 5.39 per liter - an increase of 15 ag from the previous month.
The change in price is due to an increase in the price of gasoline in the Mediterranean basin, and the increase is 15 cents per liter. An additional 3 cents per liter originates in the VAT component, which increases as a result of the overall increase in price.
In total, from a price of NIS 6.31 per liter of fuel, NIS 4 (NIS 3.08 excise tax and 92 VAT cents) are paid for direct and indirect taxes. The market expenses basket is 55 cents from the price of a liter and NIS 1.76 for gasoline.
