The Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, met with the Minister of Construction and Housing, Zeev Elkin, for a first working meeting against the background of the current housing market challenges. Also, as part of Minister Elkin's role as liaison between the government and the Knesset, the two discussed meeting the schedule in the budget transfer process.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, stated that "the effort to get the State of Israel out of the housing crisis is a joint effort of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing."

Lieberman added: "We must join forces in order to bring about a slowdown in the rise in prices in the real estate market through comprehensive reforms that include thawing land and accelerating supply. "The Minister of Housing and I support Jabotinsky's doctrine that obliges the state to provide citizens with the five" residents, "including" Maon, "and therefore we will work diligently to provide an appropriate response to the healthy demographic growth in the State of Israel."
The Minister of Construction and Housing, the Minister of Jerusalem and Heritage, and the Minister of Liaison between the Government and the Knesset, Zeev Elkin, added: "It is time to do and not just make plans. I congratulate the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, on his mobilization for this mission in his first days in office, and I am sure that with a joint effort we can bring about a real revolution. In the near future, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, we will bring a package of significant steps to achieve this goal. "
