Fimi fund acquired 80% of Gal Shevab's shares for $ 100 million

The Fimi fund controlled and managed by Yishai Davidi, is deepening its involvement in the field of semiconductors. The fund acquired 80% of Gal Shevab's shares for $ 100 million and will appoint Gilon Beck, a senior partner in Phimie, as the company's chairman. Shimon Amar, who holds the remaining 20% ​​of the company's shares, will continue to serve as CEO.
Gal Shavav, established in 1989, is engaged in the planning, design, production and assembly of electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems. The company is involved in product development and design up to serial production and technical and logistical support for the life of the product.
  Gal Shavav Group also includes the subsidiaries TMK Optics (production of complex optical systems for a variety of industries), Marsco (a provider of machining services) and Einat Technologies (research and development services for optical and mechanical systems and solutions).
The acquisition of control of Gal Shevav is the first transaction made by the Phimie 7 Fund, which completed a $ 1.2 billion raising at the end of 2020. The transaction was accompanied by PwC's Investment Banking Division.
