Hundreds of people demonstrated tonight (Monday) across the country following the clashes in Jerusalem around the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the Temple Mount. Roads were blocked and tires set on fire all over the country, and in some places protesters threw stones at vehicles and police forces. MDA reported 15 people who were lightly injured in the stone-throwing and disorderly conduct, some of whom were evacuated to hospitals across the country.
A 25-year-old man was lightly injured by stones being thrown at his vehicle on Road 79. He was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where he suffered a limb injury.
In Haifa, dozens of people demonstrated on Ben Gurion Boulevard in the city. The demonstrators set fire to tires and threw stones, fireworks and bottles at the local police forces. One policeman was lightly injured and was taken to hospital for medical treatment. 15 of the protesters were arrested.
In Segev Shalom in the Negev, the demonstrators threw many stones at the policemen who were called to the scene following the demonstration. Stones were also thrown at a bus passing on the nearby road 25 that traveled from Misgav Shalom to Dimona. The bus continued its journey to Nabataean. A 37-year-old man became anxious and was taken to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva in a light condition.
Clashes also took place in Ramla. A number of young Arabs threw stones and set fire to garbage cans on Bialik Street in the city. Among other things, they threw stones at a bus on line 249 to Petah Tikva, and also threw stones at Jewish residents, leaving no casualties. Police arrested three suspects.
In Lod, dozens of people demonstrated in the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood of the city, blocked traffic, and set fire to a tree near the local police station. Two demonstrators were documented climbing a power pole and replacing the Israeli flag hoisted with a PLO flag. 16 suspects were arrested during riots in Ramla and Lod.
