The government approved: Departure of Israeli citizens is banned to 7 countries where Corona infections is high

The government approved the Ministry of Health's regulations on leaving Israel, and stipulated that the departure of Israeli citizens (except for exceptions) would be banned in Ukraine, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, India, Mexico and Turkey - where the the Corona infection rate is high. The regulations will be in effect from Monday 3 May until Sunday 16 May.
Non-Israeli citizens will only be able to fly to these countries for departure to a permanent place of residence. The ban on departure to these countries will not apply to anyone staying at the airport area of ​​any of them for up to 12 hours from the landing, for connection flights.
The government also authorized the Ministers of the Interior and Health to appoint a chairman of the Exceptions Committee and a chairman of the Achievements Committee, so that each of the committees will be headed by an employee of the Population Authority and an employee of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, the Ministry of Health is promoting regulations that will stipulate that anyone returning from the seven countries where the level of morbidity is high will go into isolation, even if he is vaccinated or recovering - for 14 days, or 10 days if he performed two corona tests with a negative result. These regulations are also expected to enter into force on May 3, but they still require the approval of the Knesset's Organizing Committee.
