After more than a year: Israel Railways will return the Ben Gurion Airport station to full operation from this coming Thursday (April 22).
Train traffic at the station will be fully resumed, and the two lines stopping at it: Modi'in-Nahariya, and Herzliya-Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon, will be fully operational. However, according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministerial Committee to Combat the Corona Virus, returnees who are required to isolate (those who are not vaccinated or recovering) are not allowed to use public transportation services, including Israel Railways.
The train station at Ben Gurion Airport was closed more than a year ago, as part of the Corona restrictions.
Train passengers at Ben Gurion Airport will be required to issue train entry vouchers, in the same way as all train stations, and the corona guidelines, which include the obligation to wear a mask and maintain social distance, will be strictly observed, by limiting train occupancy.
However, the train's activity is still limited in most parts of the country. The line between Tel Aviv only runs until eight in the evening due to the train's electrification project. Other lines also do not operate at full capacity.
