The Aluma Infrastructure Fund, established by Uri Yogev, together with the Ayalon insurance company, purchased about 40% of Tamers Telecom, for about NIS 100 million. This beam has a third deal and it has been given an option to purchase additional shares within two years. The fund is managed by Yinon Yogev and the chairman of the investment committee is Molly Rabina. Uri Yogev serves as chairman and there is no family connection between him and the CEO.
The shares are purchased from Poio Zablodiewicz, who owned 100% of the shares through Tamers Telecom. Tamers Telecom provides communications services in Israel and around the world via a fiber-optic submarine cable laid by it between Israel and Cyprus and through follow-up services it purchases from infrastructure providers in Europe.
About four months ago, Aluma acquired the Communications Towers company, which deals with the design, construction and operation of wireless communication sites that are leased to the various cellular companies in long-term agreements. Its second deal was an investment in joint control of Esco Israel, which is engaged in initiating and operating projects for energy efficiency, solar power generation, distribution and power supply.
