CamTech has reportedly received $ 20 million in orders in recent weeks for the systems it manufactures, for testing and measuring chips, from a number of customers engaged in the production of advanced and complex semiconductor enclosures. The semiconductor sector supports the growing demand for a number of applications, including energy management and distance measurement for the automotive industry, and facial recognition in mobile devices.
CamTech is expected to deliver the systems during the second and third quarters of 2021. Rafi Amit, CEO of CamTech, noted that the company continues to experience strong business momentum, and said the new orders added strengthen confidence regarding the company's forecasts that 2021 will be another record year for it.
Camtech enjoys the growing demand for chips as a result of the accelerated digitization of areas such as the automotive industry and industrial automation. The company exceeded forecasts in the fourth quarter of 2020, earning NIS 7.7 million with a turnover of $ 49 million - an increase of 46% compared to the corresponding quarter in 2019. Last February, with the publication of the financial results for 2020, Amit said that the company is expected to record a record year in sales and see a further improvement in its profitability in 2021, and estimated that the rapid growth in the company's revenue will continue in the first quarter of 2021. Dollar amount, which was 34% higher than the average analysts' forecasts.
Shares of CamTech have risen 36% since the beginning of 2021, completing a 258% rise in the last 12 months, taking it to a value of $ 1.3 billion.
