The trip on Road Six costs more: 33.99 NIS for the hole road

The trip on Road Six becomes more expensive during the holidays on the Sabbath by one and a half percent. A trip along the entire road, from the Sorek interchange to Ein Tut, will cost the driver of a casual private car NIS 33.99, an additional 50 agorot. A driver with a "video subscription" who uses more than 5 sections of road and section 18 from the Iron Interchange to Ein Tut, will pay NIS 30.05, an increase of 44 agorot. The owner of a "Pascal subscription", which requires the loan of a smart identification device in exchange for a deposit, will pay NIS 26.13, an additional 38 cents.
Traveling in a single section will now cost NIS 4.01 for a private car, NIS 12.04 for a truck or bus and NIS 2.01 for a two-wheeled vehicle. For the section between the Iron Interchange and Ein Tut, a separate fee is charged that is not included in the calculation: NIS 6.07 for a private car, NIS 18.22 for a heavy vehicle and NIS 3.44 for a two-wheeled vehicle. Travel prices on Road 6 North, from the Yokneam Interchange to the Somekh Interchange, are collected by a separate franchisee and require a separate subscription, and these will not change now.
The Ministry of Transportation is currently examining the possibility of switching to collecting tolls by the hour, as part of a move to expand the main section of Highway 6 on another travel route, in order to reduce congestion during peak hours. Under the agreement of the franchisee of Route 6 and the state, there is no obligation to compensate drivers who are stuck on the road in a traffic jam, even though they have paid for the trip.
