The government approved: every Israeli citizen will be able to return home but will be isolated for 2 weeks

After two weeks in which the government criticized the way in which it hastily closed Ben Gurion Airport and left thousands of Israelis abroad without any possibility of returning home, The government approved several additional criteria for obtaining permission to leave and return to Israel from the exemption committees. As a result, every Israeli citizen will be able to return home without being required to prove that his return is related to a humanitarian case.
According to the new criteria of the Exceptions Committee regarding entry into Israel, every Israeli citizen who legally left Israel, according to the restrictions that applied when he left, and his permanent residence in Israel, will be entitled to return to Israel. In addition, Israeli citizens will be entitled to return for the purpose of receiving essential medical treatment that cannot be delayed; For the purpose of attending the funeral of a first-degree relative; For the purpose of assisting a first-degree relative who is in distress, and who is unable to assist another person who is in Israel; For the purpose of reaching a legal proceeding to which the person is a party, has status, or is required to participate in it, provided that his remote participation is not appropriate in the circumstances of the case; For a humanitarian need or a special personal need that requires entry into Israel; For an essential purpose relating to Israel's foreign relations or for an essential purpose relating to national security; And women in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Meanwhile, the government approved the extension of regulations prohibiting entry and exit from the country by 14 days until February 20.
The Ministry of Transportation is preparing to return Israelis next week on flights departing from Dubai to Israel in order to return the hundreds of Israelis who remained there without any possibility of returning to Israel, along with flights from the United States and Frankfurt. Preliminary corona tests according to the guidelines.
At the same time, the possibility of leaving Israel was expanded and in fact it was decided that almost everyone who needs to leave is expected to receive a permit. It was decided that it would be possible to leave Israel for those who are not Israeli citizens or permanent residents, and for those who hold a permanent residence outside Israel. In addition, the exit will allow those who have been approved by the Exceptions Committee for medical treatment, participation in the funeral of a first-degree relative, for assistance to a first-degree relative in distress, for legal proceedings, for vital Israeli or national security purposes, and for humanitarian or emergency A special person who requires leaving Israel.
A person who is not an Israeli citizen or a permanent resident may enter Israel with the approval of an Exceptions Committee, if he wishes to enter for a humanitarian or special personal need that requires entry into Israel; For the purpose of the proper management of Israel's foreign relations or for reasons of national security; If he is a professional athlete seeking entry for participation in the competition; And one who is entitled to immigrant status or immigrant rights and whose immigration cannot be denied.
A person who is not an Israeli citizen or permanent resident and is the spouse of an Israeli citizen or permanent resident or a parent of a child who is an Israeli citizen or permanent resident may enter Israel with the approval of the Exceptions Committee and if there are reservations regarding a citizen or resident.
The application to the Exceptions Committee will be made using an online form that will be available on the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Prime Minister and the Population and Immigration Authority, accompanied by relevant documents.
