Teva sold a portfolio of over-the-counter drugs to Karo Pharma for 84 million euros

Posted on Feb 4, 2021 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Teva Company continues to optimize the drug portfolio and realize assets. Teva sold a portfolio of over-the-counter drugs (otc) to Karo Pharma for 84 million euros.
Caro is a Swedish pharmaceutical company that currently distributes the products it will purchase under a seven-year distribution agreement signed in 2019. The sales volume of the products amounted to 35 million euros in 2020 according to the consumer price, and according to estimates was expected to decline slightly in 2021.
Since Caro distributed the products, Teva's revenue turnover will be deducted by a lower amount than the sales turnover of the products at consumer prices. The products that Teva will sell to Caro include mouthwashes under the Flux brand, a baby food supplement under the Lactocare brand and a product for the treatment of dry skin under the Decubal brand.
Three weeks ago, Teva sold the Serbian subsidiary Zdravlje to the British pharmaceutical company Frontier and the private investment fund Baystone.
