Norcom was granted a license to connect localities in the Arab sector to ultra-fast Internet services

The Ministry of Communications has granted Norcom a license in which it will connect localities in the Arab sector to ultra-fast Internet services.
Ministry of Communications Director General Liran Avishar Ben-Horin said: "The license granted will allow companies to connect small and rural localities to high-speed Internet infrastructure, and we are working to grant licenses to other companies. "The move we made as part of the reform reduces the barriers to entry for small companies, and increases competition so that the deployment of advanced infrastructure in the periphery will be accelerated in our estimation in the near future."
Norcom CEO Bilal Ghibli said: "Receiving the license marks the beginning of the connection of Arab society to the future, the future is already here, but not in the periphery and in Arab society in particular, our mission at Norcom is to connect all households in fiber optic network so that every student And a teacher in a school will be able to continue learning as anywhere in the world through fast and reliable communication. '
The move, which includes a significant reduction in barriers to entry for small companies interested in providing this service and entering the communications market, is expected to bring new players and small companies into the market, which will increase competition and ensure improved service and prices in small localities, peripheral areas Low which have not connected to ultra fast internet infrastructure so far.
The policy of the new Ministry of Communications allows the provision of broadband infrastructure service also through a special license, and not only through a general license as was the case in the past. Under the special license, the services will be provided to up to 8,000 households and 800 network endpoints of business subscribers. The new policy allows companies that meet the conditions of the license to provide the services using a variety of technological tools: fiber optics, millimeter waves and more
