Three senior patent attorneys are establishing a new office in the field of intellectual property in Israel.
"We are embarking on a new path, as a skilled team, with shared professional experience that is unmatched, and with the ability to provide a full professional response to all stakeholders in the field of intellectual property," said Dr. Ilan Cohen, who until recently served as chairman of the Reinhold Cohen Group and head of science. Life and chemistry in a group.
His senior partners are David de Vries, former head of technology, mechanics and design at Reinhold Cohen, and Svetlana Stedler, former head of physics at Reinhold Cohen.
The three partners added that the firm will combine business conduct with social awareness and community responsibility and intend to continue the tradition of contributing to society through the provision of "pro bono" services, assistance to people with special needs and the empowerment of underprivileged populations. They added that they also intend to emphasize the cultivation and promotion of universal social values such as sustainability, environmental conservation, and access to knowledge for the world.
In the 21st century intellectual property has become the most important economic currency. About a third of the added value of the modern economy and more than 80% of the value of public companies are attributed to intellectual property, which includes patents, designs, trademarks, knowledge, copyright and more. Professional service in the field of intellectual property, therefore, directly concerns the conduct of business, and as a result the quality of the professional service that the interested party receives is of immense importance. “The difference between excellent service and service that is less than excellent is, often, the difference between success and failure,” noted David de Vries.
The immense business importance of intellectual property, which is expected to continue to grow and expand in the coming decades, necessitates a strategic approach that takes into account business needs, business model, changing market, and competitors.
With its establishment, the new firm has 25 staff members and already handles thousands of patent cases, designs and trademarks of many clients, and expects a significant increase in the near future. The firm intends to provide clients with maximum value for their intellectual property, along with a commitment to combining value-based business conduct with social awareness and community responsibility.
