From next Tuesday at 8:00 in the morning, the isolation time will be shortened to 10 days, subject to two negative tests for Corona, the Ministry of Health announced. The first test will be performed upon entering the isolation and the second on the 9th day from the date of exposure.
Through the air, through super distributors, in the classroom and in the living room - how to get infected with corona and how to be careful
The Ministry of Health stated that "the minimum gap between the first test and the second test will be at least 24 hours. It is possible to be examined for Corona at the health funds by making an appointment and without a doctor's referral, and it is also possible to be examined at check-in and drive complexes."
Shortening the isolation period for those who are suspected of being infected - as opposed to isolation for verified patients - is based on the medical information accumulated about the virus so far, according to which most infected people develop symptoms in the first week after infection, and about 97% develop infected by the 11th day. Therefore, if no symptoms are detected ten days after infection, the risk of infection and spread of the virus decreases significantly.
