More than 200 Israeli entrepreneurs visit United Arab Emirates

More than 200 Israeli entrepreneurs, businessmen and owners of Israeli companies set out today, on the third day of the official business conference between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, to visit tours with businessmen in the UAE and local projects that are interested in collaborating with Israeli companies. As part of the business conference led by Bank Hapoalim and the Export Institute, tours were held in the fields of health, agriculture and food, finance and innovation.
The tours were joined by Bank Hapoalim Chairman Reuven Krupik, Bank Hapoalim CEO Dov Kotler, Vice President and Chief Business Officer Tzachi Cohen, Vice President and Chief Strategy and Innovation Golan Sherman, Marketing and Advertising Chief Assaf Azulai, Tomer Notkin Director of a high-tech business center at Bank Hapoalim.
A group of dozens of Israelis participated in a tour that dealt with food security, during which the members of the delegation met at a round table with the IFFCO group, a leading group in the field of food production and import in Dubai. Afterwards, members of the delegation visited the Sustainable Cities project, an extensive dedicated park that is a 'green lung' and includes greenhouses and urban agricultural plots that use advanced technologies for local agriculture production in the UAE. Finally, members of the delegation held a meeting with Elite Agro, a leading company in the fields of agriculture and food in the Middle East.
Another group of dozens of Israelis participated in a round table that brought together senior officials in the worlds of innovation and high-tech, with their Israeli counterparts, at the initiative of Microsoft. In addition, the delegation met with Osama Hassan, managing partner of the international law firm Taylor Wessing LLP, and with Saed Al Awadi, CEO of Dubai Export Development Corporation.
Another group visited the Dubai International Financial Center, which is one of the largest and most important financial centers in the world. Israeli businessmen met with Raja Al Mazaroui, Vice President of Fintech hive at the Dubai International Financial Center, and then dedicated panels were attended by Israeli fintech heads and senior executives at Emirates NBD, Dubai's largest banking group.
Another visit by dozens of Israelis dealt with medical innovation (MedTech), during which the Israeli participants visited Dubai Healtchare City, where the delegation members met with heads of investment funds in the fields of health and medical services. The delegation then visited the world's most advanced health center Mediclinic Parkview, where they met with senior officials in the center's management. Finally, members of the delegation participated in a panel on investment opportunities in the UAE health sector. The panel discussed with senior officials from the health system in the United States, including the potential for future business collaborations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
