Microsoft announced today (Sunday) the launch of the new campus in Herzliya Pituach. The complex, which covers 46,000 square meters, will unite under one roof the employees of Microsoft Israel, who have so far lived in Raanana and the research and development center in Herzliya. According to the company, the scope of the project is estimated at hundreds of millions of shekels.
Microsoft also said that the move to campus will be done in the coming weeks gradually and according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. This, in effect, means that most of the company's employees will continue to work from home.
The new building is the first office building in Israel to receive the LEED V4 GOLD indoor and outdoor standard - an international ranking for the certification of sustainable and environmental buildings. The building also includes 3.5 dunams of garden and 8 dunams of open space.
The building has playrooms, nursing rooms, various balconies that can be worked on, a basketball and volleyball court, a yoga room, a gym, music rooms and a dog park. Employees have access to postal services, laundry, convenience stores, six food complexes and two cafes. Also, regular or folding bicycles are available for employees to take home and to work. Special bicycle parking includes an electric charging option, and in the campus parking lot, preference is given to shared vehicles and electric vehicles.
