Fruits and vegetables from Israel were displayed on Saturday decorated with the Israeli flag in an official and high-rankig ceremoney held at the "FRESH MARKET" market in the Ras al-Koor area of Dubai. The event is held at the Central Retail Center of Dubai which is a regional trade center where thousands of tons of local and imported produce are sold daily. Dubai notes that the event marks another step following the normalization of relations between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.

The official cooperation between Israel and Dubai will allow Israeli farmers to market their produce directly to the UAE on the one hand, and the UAE on the other to expand the sources of imported agricultural produce, on the other.
The event, which featured Israeli produce in Dubai, was attended by Shlomi Fogel, Chairman of Carmel-Agrexo and Yoav Shur, CEO of Carmel-Agrexco and attended by UAE officials including Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulim, Chairman and CEO of DP World; Asa Abdul Rahman al-Hashemi, head of the Food Security Bureau at the Prime Minister's Office; Muhammad al-Dahani, Director of Agriculture and Health Development at the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment (MOCCAE); Adel Sayed al-Hashemi, Dubai Regional Director at MOCCAE; Muhammad al-Muallem, CEO of DP WORLD in the UAE; Ahmad Mahabov Musabih, CEO of Dubai Customs; Khalid Muhammad Sharif al-Awadi, Director General of the Health, Safety and Environment Sector of the Dubai Municipality, and other senior officials of the United Arab Emirates.
Shlomi Fogel, chairman of Carmel Agrexco, said at the event: "We are excited to be part of the growing ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and together with our colleagues in Dubai, we are beginning to see the 'fruit of peace' today. The export of fresh agricultural products from Israel to the UAE has a significant advantage due to the geographical proximity and speed of transportation of the products directly to markets in the UAE and beyond. Fresh Israeli produce can reach points of sale in Dubai only a few hours after harvest. "Israeli agriculture is considered very advanced and we are happy and confident that customers and consumers in the Gulf countries will also enjoy our produce."
Vogel added that Carmel-Agrexco intends to invest in the establishment of agricultural farms in the UAE while incorporating the latest innovations in agricultural technology. In addition, Carmel-Agrexco will allow any Israeli farmer who wishes to export his produce to the Emirates to carry out the entire process through it, including inspection, financing, transportation and logistics and sales in the Dubai market.
