Small business owners decided to stop waiting and opened the doors for operation

Posted on Oct 11, 2020 by Ifi Reporter

After the closure was broken time and time again in recent days, on Sunday morning some of the small business owners decided to stop waiting and opened the doors. "The government is making us criminals, people have no money for their children," said Marika Hohashvili, who owns a permanent makeup business.
The members of the group "There will be no closure", which has about 60,000 small business owners from all over the country, decided to open the business this morning as a last resort in order to keep the headquarters warm. According to protest leader Tamir Barelco, thousands of businesses opened this morning. Barelko wrote a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, writing, "We have so far respected the Israeli government's decision but it is no longer possible. We have no choice but to fight for our livelihood." He added in the letter that "it is clear to us that there is no connection between the spread of the corona plague and the existence of small businesses. Small businesses are not the problem but the solution for the Israeli economy."
In Tel Aviv and the Sharon region, many businesses have opened operations. Like hairdressers and other services. In Jerusalem, they joined the revolt of the hostel and the "Inn" club, whose owners decided to open the gates today despite the decision to close and despite the risk of a fine. The hostel worked until before the closure as a guest house and cultural center for independent artists. Workshops, performances and parties were held there on a daily basis, but with the outbreak of the corona the business had to adapt itself to the guidelines. The hostel has been renovated and turned into a movement and yoga studio and the club has been converted into a rehearsal room for musicians and teenagers from the area.
