Security officials warn that there is no coordination between the bodies that are supposed to handle the corona crisis and that the head of the National Emergency Authority has not yet taken office because he has not received the appropriate approvals. According to them, the biggest test in the struggle in Corona is in the winter months that have not yet come. The same sources criticize that for 7 months the corona manned the post of head of the National Emergency Authority only from deputies. The sources claim that there is a lack of coordination between the various bodies. Emergency Authority personnel are not present at cabinet meetings as they were in the past and they are also not involved in the exit strategy.
The head of the National Emergency Authority, who also serves as the head of the national emergency department did not take up his post because his post has not yet been approved by the government.
The security source stressed that there is no body today that produces integration between all the bodies that are managing the corona crisis, there is no one who coordinates the relationship with the local authorities and they are forced to function alone without government assistance. The sources added that an effort was nevertheless made to set priorities with regard to the four million vaccines that will arrive in Israel when they are approved for use. Sixty thousand vaccines have already been brought to the country and they are distributed.
