The academic year at the universities will open with distance learning, and students will not arrive on campuses

Posted on Sep 29, 2020 by Ifi Reporter

The academic year at the universities will open with distance learning, and students will not arrive on campuses until further notice. This was announced today (Tuesday) by the committee of university heads. In most universities the school year will open on October 18th. In public and private colleges, it has not yet been decided how the school year will be conducted.
Classes in schools and kindergartens were scheduled to resume on October 8, but the period of downtime in the education system is expected to be extended.
University studies will therefore continue in a format similar to that which was conducted in March-April, when conducted remotely. Universities were then allowed to open the campuses only for lab classes and exams.
The Committee of University Heads stated that the academic year will open as planned. "Universities have built an integrated curriculum that will allow physical presence on campuses alongside distance learning. However, in light of the government's decision to close and out of responsibility for the health of those coming at university gates, we decided that studies at various institutions will begin in distance learning only. It combines classroom studies with online learning. "
The universities also stated that they are training their faculty members in order to provide them with tools to improve distance learning, as well as increasing technical support for distance learning. The University Council said that in recent months, advanced cameras and multimedia equipment have been installed in the classrooms, campuses have been networked on Internet networks, and it has been decided to diversify the end-of-semester assignments to allow students substitutes to receive grades.
