employers will receive NIS 5,000 for each employee who os not put on leave without pay

The employee retention plan has been officially announced, according to which employers will receive NIS 5,000 for each employee who does not put on leave without pay, beyond a certain percentage of employees depending on the volume of income decline during the second closure.
According to Social Security estimates, about 200,000 workers will be forced to go on vacation without pay at the beginning of the second closure, for which the state will have to pay unemployment benefits. Government officials have criticized the non-adoption of the German model by the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Finance, as the model in which the government participates in the payment of wages would have prevented the spending of tens of thousands of workers' vacations.
The president of the business sector presidency, Dovi Amitai, said of the economic plan: "We congratulate the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance on the series of steps that have now been decided upon and in fact are based on the plans presented by us in the first closure and adopted at this time. Presented now still needs to be completed in order to achieve its stated purpose.
"First, a fixed expense reimbursement model that has now been decided upon, provides only a partial solution and does not include a solution for businesses and large companies. Therefore, the compensation model similar to that given after a solid cliff - where we see a correct business and economic solution. It is clear to exit the quarantine which will reduce the uncertainty and allow for proper assessments.
"Thirdly, during the severe recession, it is not enough to settle for grants, but to act to increase demand by focusing public spending on the purchase of local produce and accelerating investment in construction and infrastructure through Israeli companies. Finally, stop the full application model and return workers immediately ".
Adv. Roi Cohen, President of Lahav (Bureau of Independent and Business Organizations in Israel): "The Prime Minister must be connected to reality. The imminent closure comes at a time of distrust on the part of the business sector in decision-makers, in light of the confusion and disorder in the guidelines. The theater of the absurd must be stopped because decisions change within minutes and have fateful consequences for the future of half a million self-employed and business owners. Although the right economic measures were announced today, a reduction of 25 percent in compensation and the exemption from property taxes, in the test of the result there is an unequivocal requirement: their closure = their compensation.
"The government must immediately send a compensation grant to the bank accounts of the self-employed and business owners so that they can survive the closure and not wait for compensation in mid-December. The solution, not the problem. "
