The Employment Service said that as of today, 851,051 jobseekers are registered, of whom 536,906 are on unpaid leave. According to the Employment Service, "We continue to see in August a registration of job seekers at a significantly higher rate than we saw throughout May-June."
At the end of the week, the Employment Service received 8,245 reports of returning to work, and 1,608 new jobseekers were registered. Since the beginning of the easing of the closure, 472,647 reports of return to work have been received, compared with 227,520 new job seekers. It should be noted that the number of unemployed presented by the National Insurance Institute and the Central Bureau of Statistics is lower.
The National Insurance Institute announced that starting today, those who did not receive the grant will be able to go to one of the post offices, identify themselves and receive the grant in cash. The cash grant can be withdrawn at post offices in subsequent weeks.
