The parties discussed various proposals to strengthen the safety net for the self-employed, while examining the solutions for improving the current situation. Among other things, issues such as the Knesset and the flexible Khalat model were discussed, priorities in tenders for local producers and Israeli products, the formulation of future mechanisms for securing unemployment benefits for emergencies, epidemics or war, and the formulation of long-term policies to enshrine Israeli social security in Israel.
The chairman of the Histadrut, Arnon Bar-David, congratulated the parties on their willingness to act in cooperation and stated that: "I thank MK Miki Zohar for his mobilization on the issue and appreciate the cooperation of my friend, Dubi Amitai.
The chairman of the business sector presidency, Dovi Amitai, thanked the chairman of the Histadrut and MK Zohar: "This is a significant addition to the struggle of the self-employed that is currently being led by the Chamber of Independent Organizations and the Craft and Industry Association. I sincerely hope that we will be able to bring news to the people who drive the Israeli economy. "
