The government approved by telephone vote the restrictions for this weekend: 20 people in closed areas

Posted on Aug 14, 2020 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The government approved by telephone vote the restrictions that will be imposed on the public this weekend. In restaurants and synagogues, 20 people will be approved in a closed area, 30 people in an open area - in places over 80 square meters. In small sources - that is, also in restaurants under 80 square meters - up to 10 people only.
The restaurant industry is threatening another revolt: "Israeli restaurateurs will no longer agree to be a tool in the political game," says Shai Berman, chairman of the restaurant association. The union added that they intend to publish a purple label of the restaurant association, which will include a wider occupancy, and call on restaurateurs to follow it.
The Minister of Finance, Israel Katz, has decided to promote "accelerated depreciation" in the amount of NIS 2 billion as an immediate means of encouraging investment and accelerating activity in the economy.
As part of the Temporary Provision, it will stipulate that machines and equipment used for manufacturing activity in the fields of industry in Israel, including the production of software and development, agriculture, construction and hotel operation, will be entitled to double the depreciation rate if they were entitled to these assets ("double depreciation"). Shall not exceed its original price and in accordance with the conditions set forth in the Temporary Order.
A decision to promote such a temporary order was made following talks with representatives of the business sector on accelerating the economy, and as part of the finance minister's policy to encourage the business sector to bring about economic growth while maintaining the level of competition and reducing the cost of living.
