At the end of five months of shutdown and taking all its employees on unpaid leave, Arkia returns to activity. This, after the company's employees and the Histadrut reached an agreement with the Nakash brothers, the controlling owners (70%) of the company.
According to the agreement between the Nakash brothers and a company corporation, which owns 30% of its shares, Arkia will take out loans from Bank Hapoalim and Discount Bank in the amount of NIS 130 million with a state guarantee. Guaranteed state guarantee.
The Histadrut, headed by Arnon Bar-David, will support Arkia's process of restarting it through a loan of $ 1.5 million (NIS 5.1 million), which will be transferred to Arkia subject to its return to activity. Arkia, which employs 550 people, is expected to immediately resume its flights on the Ben Gurion Airport-Eilat route.
