EL AL won the highest status for Social Responsibility Index in Israel

Posted on Jul 5, 2019 by Ifi Reporter

EL AL won the Platinum Plus status (highest class) in the 2019 Maala ranking list.
This is the second year in a row that El Al has the highest status in the Social Responsibility Index, the only company among the public companies in the infrastructure, energy and transportation sector that has the platinum plus status and is ranked highest, with a general score of 94. It is the only company in the aviation industry that is ranked up.
The rating examines and measures the activities of leading companies in the core areas of activity, including: ethics and transparency, labor relations, diversity and inclusion, environmental quality, volunteerism, contribution to the community, corporate governance and accessibility.
Maala, founded in 2003, serves as the main index for assessing corporate responsibility in Israel. El Al's high score underscores the importance that the company attaches to its relationships with customers, employees and suppliers, with an emphasis on ethics and volunteering in the community, on a regular basis and throughout the year.
Yehudit Grisero, Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at El Al, represented the company at the ranking unveiling ceremony held on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. "We are very happy and proud to be awarded the Platinum Plus status for the second consecutive year.
The high ranking we have won attests to a great extent to the importance that the company devotes to corporate responsibility and community service. "
