Bank Leumi Reports NIS 2.7 Billion Profit in Q3; Announces NIS 2 Billion Dividend Distribution
Posted on Nov 18, 2025 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski
Bank Leumi concluded the third quarter of 2025 with a net profit of NIS 2.7 billion, marking an 18% increase compared to NIS 2.2 billion in the same quarter last year.
Under the leadership of CEO Hanan Friedman, the bank announced a dividend distribution of NIS 2 billion, equivalent to approximately 75% of its quarterly net profit. This is one of the largest single-quarter dividend distributions in Israel’s banking sector in recent years.
The move follows the Bank of Israel’s recent decision to allow financial institutions to distribute up to 75% of their net profits as dividends. This temporary measure will be in effect for the third quarter of 2025. The regulator’s decision was driven by the banks’ significant capital surpluses, estimated at NIS 30 billion, reflecting the sector’s strong financial resilience.
According to the bank’s report, half of the dividend will be funded from current quarterly profits, with the remainder drawn from existing capital reserves.
This robust performance underscores Leumi’s continued strength amid a stable banking environment and positions it as one of the most profitable institutions in Israel’s financial sector.
