Harish Mall opened its doors to the public: the first in the emerging city
Posted on Sep 3, 2019 by Ifi Reporter
Late in the quarter: Harish Mall officially opened its doors to the public and became the first mall in the new, emerging city. NIS 76 million was invested in the construction of the complex and covers a relatively small area of about 10,000 square meters, of which about 9,000 square meters is intended for trading, while a permit is intended for a gas station that operates on the site, alongside a parking lot that includes about 300 parking spaces. The person behind the project is the real estate company Moore, headed by Hanan Moore, who is also building a residential real estate project in Harish.
In the mall, which was officially opened yesterday, the chains are partially operational, including three anchor tenants - Fox Group, Shufersal with a 3,500 sqm store and McDonald's, operating alongside other chains such as B Clothing, Gold Ice Cream and the Kiwi fashion chain (formerly Honigman Kids, which collapsed.) Branches of Super-Pharm, Cafe Greg, Steimatzky, the Red Pirate, Dor Alon and others are also expected to open later.
Originally, the complex's launch was planned for the second quarter of 2019, but it was delayed and rejected, and the stores in the complex began to operate in a gradual fashion only during the past month.
The value of the mall in the books, as evidenced by the group's presentation last week, stands at about NIS 122 million, with an expected NOI of about NIS 11 million at full population. But the group's presentation last week shows that the mall's occupancy rate is only 75%, with 60% being the anchor tenants - Shufersal, Fox, Super-Pharm, McDonald's and Dor Alon gas station.
Moore Public Group is engaged in the initiation and construction of residential and commercial construction projects in Israel and abroad and is traded at a value of NIS 311 million.
Moor notes that "the city of Harish currently has about 13,000 residents and will continue to expand in the coming years. According to the Ministry of Construction and Housing's plans, the city is expected to accommodate 100,000 residents over the next five years."
