Israeli "OK2GO" will cooperate with CELLA-V TELEMATICS in cleaning management

Posted on Mar 5, 2019 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The Israeli high-tech company OK2GO, which operates advanced systems for reporting presence, control and distress and specializes in cellular and landline-based and Internet-based solutions, has signed an agreement with CELLA-V TELEMATICS LTD to expand its activities in the area of cleaning management in local authorities.
As part of the cooperation, CELLA-V TELEMATICS LTD will supply OK2GO with the sensors for monitoring waste carts and sensors for garbage cans for volume identification. The management of cleanliness in a local authority is expressed on several levels and provides quite a few challenges. Reporting the presence of cleaning workers in municipal facilities, school institutions and more; Cleaning the streets of the city by working with cleaning carts (sometimes hundreds of units); Garbage collection from garbage cans in homes and garbage removal from hidden garbage cans / large cans that concentrate garbage or pruning. This is an area that is growing all the time and the quantity of large bins around the country is estimated in thousands of units.
OK2GO CEO Shmuel Madar said that "we are aware of the importance of intelligent management in the smart cities and prepare the ground for any integration with central systems of control and monitoring for data transfer." According to him, the system that will provide the highest value, will include the following elements: managing the work hours of contractors according to all the rules; Locating and removing garbage in the city; Managing exceptions and warnings, and creating transparency between the Authority and the contractors. Control of these budgets can save a lot of money to the Authority in managing a smart city, in order to effectively create a clean city. OK2GO already manages thousands of field personnel through the TRACK2GO service, enabling it to manage work areas, view routes and other tools for the benefit of the organization or the local authority.
For example, calculating the accounts for contractors in the field of cleaning does not amount to only the basis of hours worked by employees, but sometimes calculation is done according to the distance of work or meters to pay or cleaning a building / unit. Evacuation of large cans at full capacity creates maximum value for the local authority. Digital control of 100 cleaning workers in a local authority can save the PA between 5 percent and 12 percent of the cleaning budget while increasing output and control. The system can, by means of sensors, reduce the evacuation only when the waste is at least 20 percent full. In some places we know that it is necessary to wash the garbage after the evacuation, and the sensor is also capable of providing information.
