Ukraine shot down a Russian drone made in Israel

While Israel refuses to supply Ukraine with weapons to defend itself against the Russian invasion, Friday its forces shot down a Russian drone made in Israel.
Russia, Israel's main supplier of weapons to enemy states such as Iran and Syria (and until the signing of peace agreements, including Egypt), purchased the drones in an unusual deal in 2015 in order to close its technological and operational gap in unmanned aerial vehicles, amounting to about 400 million Dollars according to foreign sources.
The Russians then sought to purchase Elbit's more advanced Hermes 450, but the Ministry of Defense allowed them to purchase only the veteran Searcher 2, whose first generation entered service in the early 1980s, and assisted in the First Lebanon War in destroying the Syrian anti-aircraft missile batteries it provided. Soviet Union.
Since then, domestic production of the tool has begun in Russia, initially using partial components from the aerospace industry, but later moving on to full local production, including of its camera system. The Russians even released videos in which the tool was converted to attack, using bombs.
The Russian military is currently operating more than 100 outposts, including in Syria. The drone that was shot down in Zhytomyr was apparently used to gather intelligence and target Russian artillery batteries. According to his fragments, he carried the original Israeli camera system, made by the IAI's Innocent Factory.
The Ministry of Defense and IAI refused to address the question of whether Israel continues to provide technical support to drones sold to Russia.
