In 2018-2019, most Israeli households will live in apartments owned by them, or owned by relatives, about 67%. This is compared to 31% who live in a rented apartment.
69% of couples who have children and the young child is less than 18 live in the apartment they own, 29% live in rented accommodation. The percentage of Arab households living in the dwelling they own in the Haifa and northern districts (90%) and in the Tel Aviv and Central districts (89%) is higher than the percentage of Jewish households living in the dwelling they own (66% and 64%, respectively). This was published by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
67% of households live in a standard apartment in a residential building, 9% live in a penthouse, garden apartment or duplex apartment, 13% of households live in a private house, and an additional 11% live in a two-family or serial cottage.
Residential dwellings owned by those living in them are larger than rented dwellings: 67% of dwelling dwellings are owned by 4 rooms or more, while 62% of rented dwellings are 3-2 rooms.
About 17% of households responded that cellular antennas could be seen from some window in their home. 43% of households in localities in the low clusters 3-1 indicated that they suffer from road-noise, compared with 35% of households in localities in the high clusters 10-8.
41% of households in localities in clusters 3-1 indicated that they suffer from dirt or garbage in the streets, compared with 29% of households in localities in clusters 7-4 and 21% of households in localities in clusters 10-8.
